If you do not have a commercial washing machine, then this ‘Spray-on-Waterproofing’ is ideal for you.
If the Re-Proofing liquid was applied using a domestic washing machine, the liquid would be introduced at the beginning of thr rinse cycles and would then be subsequently rinsed out / away by the following rinses.

General for spray on waterproofing:
Spray on waterproofing gives protection from not only rain and snow but also prevents soil deposits from sticking so they become easier to brush off.
Has an invisible protective shield that is highly abrasive resistant, which means that it isn’t easily removed. Does not interfere with the breathability of garments, unlike many wax based water repellents and does not change the colour of the garment(s).
‘Rug Care Spray on Waterproofing’ is suitable for all non waxed fabric garments: horse rugs, coats, jackets, trousers, jodhpurs, boiler suits, dungarees, gaiters, fabric hats, etc .
‘Rug Care Spray on Waterproofing’ is not suitable for – plastic, leather or waxed clothing.
Directions for spray on waterproofing:
For best results always clean items first, preferably with ‘Rug Care Cleaner’.
Leave garment(s) damp for waterproofing.
Shake well before use.
Liberally spray the proofer onto the garment, making sure application is thorough and even. Only use between 40 to 250 mils per garment; e.g. 40 mils per pair of over socks, 100 mils per pair of trousers or jodhpurs and 250 mils per large horse rug.
Alternatively, measure out the required amount and spread on with a stiff brush, making sure application is thorough and even.
The garment can then be air dried, tumble dried or dried in a hot room as per the garment manufacturers guidelines.
